Not every sandwich
deserves to be called
extraordinary.

We source from local farms, bake our own bread, and assemble each sandwich slowly. The result is something you'll remember — and come back for.

Why Sandwich Ny

The details matter
because you notice them.

Bread baked in-house

Every loaf starts at 4am. Our sourdough, ciabatta, and baguette are mixed, fermented, and baked before you walk in.

Local producers

Cheese from New York state, vegetables from Hudson Valley farms, meat from upstate ranches. We know the people who grow your food.

No shortcuts

We don't use pre-sliced cheese, factory bread, or processed spreads. If it can't be traced to a source, it doesn't go on our sandwich.

Our Story

We opened because New York had too many good sandwiches and not enough great ones.

Sandwich Ny started with a simple frustration: you could spend twelve dollars on a sandwich in this city and get nothing remarkable in return. We wanted to change that — to build a place where the bread is the star, where every ingredient has a reason to be there, and where a quick lunch feels like something worth slowing down for.

We found our space on East 21st Street and spent months getting the kitchen right. The oven. The grinder. The exact pressure for a press. Then we spent another few months tasting, discarding, and starting over. What's on the menu now is the result of that process — honest food, made well, in a room that doesn't try too hard.

What People Say

Don't take our word for it.

I've been coming here for months now and it never disappoints. The 21st Street sandwich is genuinely the best I've had in the city.

— A regular, NoMad

The attention to detail is impressive — from the bread to the condiments. It's clear they care about what they're doing.

— A neighbor, Flatiron

Finally, a sandwich place that treats ingredients with respect. The Garden Melt changed my mind about vegetarian sandwiches entirely.
